Every little girl with a deep love for horses dreams of having her own pony. Inspired by one of my friend’s greatest passions—her pony and horses—I created this painting as part of my collection, My Friend's Favorites.

I chose shimmering details and delicate roses to add softness and whimsy to reflect the daydreaming that comes with a girl's love of horses. A cowgirl's rough hands, dirt, and hay as part of this lifestyle is captured in my rough texture, messy drips, and splatters. The expressive brushstrokes and metallic paints reflect the energy and beauty of these animals. I also enjoyed choosing my childhood favorite colors to celebrate all the little girls who find endless happiness in the strength and spirit of ponies.
