This tutorial is very simple and has multiple stopping points for beginner artists. The steps are easy, but within each step there is more to learn. I'll teach you why I'm using a certain color, technique, brush, or water. I am more thorough, you can see what I'm doing, and know why I'm doing it. I also let you know great times to be creative so that your painting will look as unique as you are.
The goal isn't to have a matching beach painting with your teacher. Even teachers can't copy their own work exactly. Our preferences, emotions, and skill levels will show up naturally. That being said, our skill levels don't increase unless we are painting and learning. Every painting is on the path to getting to the place where you can paint however and whatever you want. Along the way, if you give yourself grace in the learning process, you can feel relaxation. It's one of the perks of painting!
